She went to a proper English boarding school where she developed an inventive approach to art, drama and rule bending. She had decided that when she grew up she would either be a world famous movie star or a world famous fashion designer but that was because she had never owned a stencil set as a child. If she had I am sure that it would not have taken twenty eight years before Helen realised that she wanted to be a stenciler.

It says in the description that it comes with stencil templates. I figured that meant they would be printed on paper, and I would have to cut them out myself like I've seen in other books, but that isn't the case. The stencil is cut out of a hard plastic like material that can be easily removed from the book. There are dozens of great applications shown, from embossed stationary to needlepoint canvas, and the designs are shown in a variety of colorways, from subtle to bold. While the book itself is lovely to look at and does have several examples with instructions I purchased it for the several full size removable stencils in it.

While it didnt expect the stencils to be the same heavy duty plastic ones you can but indivually , I did expect to be able to actually use them with ya know, paint. These are just light weight card stock with a light plastic coating on them.
